Preschoolers from Mr. Murphy's class had another exciting day at the plot with the park ranger. They saw many things including a snake eating a toad! How awesome is this learning taking place in Preschool!?!

First and second graders enjoyed experiencing this marble run with Troy Errthum, the physicist, on Tuesday. Students had a blast learning all about the physics behind these pieces. #KCSDPride

Mrs. Thomas's Kindergarten class read the book Scribble Stones recently. It was part of their PBIS book selection last month. The kids loved it and wanted to make their own to share with the school. They have been waiting for warm weather and it is finally here! Yesterday they hid them on the playground for friends to find and take home. Their purpose is only to bring joy :) They worked hard on them and they are really cute! Check out some of the students who found rocks throughout the day yesterday!

Mr. Murphy’s class has received permission from the Marion Co Conservation Commission park services. They are working with a a very friendly ranger, naturalist Marla Mertz, who is going to come in after we collect some more data. We are measuring grass, height and soil temperature and she’s going to show us how to do some preschool science after we’ve made a couple visits.

This morning Kindergarteners from Mrs. Walter's class got to learn about and play the Xylophone. What a fun way to start the day!

We want to strongly encourage all of our families to ensure their contact information. This is going to be very important as we are moving to a new, more robust, notification system. This new notification system will not require any sign up, opting-in, or extra work on our families. All we need is for families to sign into their Infinite Campus accounts and make sure all of their contact information is entered correctly.
Disclaimer: We will be sending out a Test Message with this new system at 4:00pm this afternoon. If you do not receive this message, check your Infinite Campus account contact information. If you are having any issues with Infinite Campus, contact ICHelp@kcsd.k12.ia.us
