KMS Announcements Tuesday, November 4, 2025 Day 2
Good Luck to the KMS students at the SCIBA Middle School Honor Band in Ankeny, Iowa - today.
Students - This is a reminder to have your Ipads closed while walking in the hallway. This will help with student and Ipad safety while traveling the halls.
Roald Dahl’s “MATILDA THE MUSICAL” will be performed on November 6 and 7at 7:00 PM, and November 8 and 9 at 2:00 PM at the Knoxville Performing Arts Center. KMS students in the show are Tavi Albers, Isabella DeJoode, Avery Dittmer, Kaylee Figland, Chloe Lee, Ali Pearson, and Lili Shelborn. See flyers posted around the school for ticket information.
Our first KMS Fun Night will be Friday, November 14. The event is free. Games will include dodgeball, 9 square, and bags. Pizza and drinks will be available for $1 per slice/drink.

Athletics –
There will be tryouts for the Iowa Juniors (formally Blues Volleyball club) On November 9th at the middle school gym. Please see the times below. If you are interested, email Mollie Keitges at realfitness.ia@gmail.com by November 5th. Information sheets are available to pick up at the communication center.
Our 6th -11th grade teams will play in 4-5 tournaments, in January, February and March. (Tournaments can't be scheduled until December so I do not know exact days at this time). We will start practice in December. Practices will be on Sunday afternoons/evenings. Some teams may add a weeknight practice time. Cost is $225 + AAU Membership ($25) + Uniform, Everyone will need a new uniform this year due to the club change.
We will be doing a Poinsettia Fundraiser again with Dan-D Farms to help cover the costs of your kiddo's club fees if you choose to participate. TRYOUTS! Tryouts/Team Placement will be on November 9th – 6th - 8th grade from 4:30-5:30 pm at the Knoxville Middle School gym.
