KMS Announcements Tuesday, October 21, 2025 Day 2
All 8th grade students traveling to DC have a MANDATORY - student only meeting, after school (3:40) TODAY. The meeting will begin promptly at 3:40 and conclude around 5:00PM.
Students and Staff, We will be doing group pictures for the yearbook TOMORROW. The following is a schedule for the activity: 8:05 - Take attendance; 8:06 - Walk your students to the football field and we will sit in the bleachers by class. 6th in the first section, 7th, then 8th.; 8:15 - Band will perform their show for the middle school students. 8:25 - Students line up for pictures.
There will be a student council meeting TODAY - 1st hour. Please excuse students to attend this meeting.
Knoxville Community Schools will be holding parent-teacher conferences on Wednesday, October 22, from 2:00 to 7:00 PM, and Thursday, October 23, from 2:00 to 7:00 PM. School will be dismissed two hours early on both days. No school on Friday, October 24 and Monday, October 27. A parent letter with conference details has been emailed to families.
Athletics –
There will be no after school strength & conditioning workouts on Wednesday, October 22; Friday, October 24; and Monday, October 27. Workouts will resume after school on Wednesday, October 29.
There will be a Boys Middle School wrestling meeting on TOMORROW MORNING in Mr. Hudson's room @7:50 AM. If there is anyone interested in wrestling that can not attend the meeting, please email Coach Pepper at kyle.pepper@kcsd.k12.ia.us.

Varsity Volleyball – regional quarterfinals at home vs Carlisle - 7:00 PM
Knoxville is hosting Carlisle in a postseason volleyball Regional Quarterfinal match on TODAY at 7:00 PM. The doors at Knoxville will open at 6:00 PM to the public. Since this is a state playoff game, no activity tickets or passes can be accepted and online ticketing only will be used. Here is the link to buy tickets:
