KMS Announcements Friday, October 17, 2025 Day 2
All 8th grade students traveling to DC this MONTH have a MANDATORY - student only meeting, after school (3:40) on Tuesday, October 21, 2025. The meeting will begin promptly at 3:40 and conclude around 5:00PM.
Students and Staff, We will be doing group pictures for the yearbook on Wednesday October 22. The following is a schedule for the activity: 8:05 - Take attendance; 8:06 - Walk your students to the football field and we will sit in the bleachers by class. 6th in the first section, 7th, then 8th.; 8:15 - Band will perform their show for the middle school students. 8:25 - Students line up for pictures.
There will be a student council meeting Tuesday, October 21 1st hour. Please excuse students to attend this meeting.
Knoxville Community Schools will be holding parent-teacher conferences on Wednesday, October 22, from 2:00 to 7:00 PM, and Thursday, October 23, from 2:00 to 7:00 PM. School will be dismissed two hours early on both days. No school on Friday, October 24 and Monday, October 27. A parent letter with conference details has been emailed to families.
Athletics –
7th grade girls interested in basketball - there will be a meeting in Mrs. Peden's room TODAY at 3:15.
There will be a Boys Middle School wrestling meeting on Wednesday, October 22nd in Mr. Hudson's room @7:50 AM. If there is anyone interested in wrestling that can not attend the meeting, please email Coach Pepper at kyle.pepper@kcsd.k12.ia.us.
