KMS Announcements       Tuesday, September 23, 2025             Day 1

KMS Picture day is scheduled for THIS WEEK on  – Thursday, September 25th – Every student and staff member will have your picture taken for the yearbook,  passes and our district  data system whether your family purchases pictures or not.  All pictures will need to be ordered on-line.

KMS will also do eye tests on Thursday with Vision to Learn in the morning with the school picture time.

• Students and Parents:  We have had a great start to the year.  Students have settled in and we all had a fun time with Homecoming.  Our math and ELA teachers have been FAST testing at the middle school which requires headphones.  With our new board policy, we require wired headphones.  Many students have brought them to school and are using them.  We do have earphones at the middle school that students may use if they do not have a set of their own.  The headphones require a USB-C connection for our Ipads.  They have Apple headphones in stock at Walmart.  You can buy off brand headphones at Walmart.com for less cost, $8 for two pairs.  Regardless of where you purchase headphones, they just need to have the USB-C connection.  Thank you.

• Students interested in taking Driver Education –  we have information from 2 companies – Triple “R” Driving School and Training Wheels.  Flyers are available at the KMS Communications Center [across from the office].

  
  

• Any student interested in being part of the Marine Corps of Iowa.  An information packet is available at our Communications Center

Athletics –

• Good luck to the cross country team at their meet in Newton. Please dismiss the team at 1:50. 

  
  

• Good luck to the KMS volleyball team in their matches at Centerville today.  Please dismiss the players for both grades at 2:15 PM.

  
  

• Good luck also to our KMS football teams in their games today against Newton.  The 7th grade will be playing at home.  The 8th grade should be dismissed at 2:15 as they will travel to Newton for their games.
