KMS Announcements Friday, September 5, 2025 Day 1
Hey KMS students! The Yearbook staff is having a cover contest for all grades 6th-8th. Everyone has an equal chance to win and there are no limitations to who can enter. The artwork must be original, cover the entire page, have a black background and done in vertical or portrait orientation. This can be drawn or done digitally, but it has to be printed on 8.5 x 11” paper and turned into the office by Friday, September 12th. There are examples of covers from previous years in the trophy case by the lunch room. The winning choice will be on the back of this year’s Yearbook! Best of luck! If you have questions, contact Mrs. Hermsen.
Students interested in taking Driver Education – we have information from 2 companies – Triple “R” Driving School and Training Wheels. Flyers are available at the KMS Communications Center [across from the office].
We are excited for the first home football game of the season at Randy Wilson Track on Friday, September 5, against Mount Pleasant! The 9th grade game begins at 4:45 PM. The Panther Walk begins at 610 PM (starts at the District Office parking lot, north on Park Lane, and then west on Panther Drive). The varsity game will kick-off at 7: 30 PM. The dance team and marching band will perform at halftime. Fans are not to enter the turf after the game; please remain outside the fence. A reminder of some student behavior expectations we have for home Varsity football games - Students need to be in their seats during the game. They should not be loitering on the concrete and grassy areas, running around, or climbing over any fences. When someone leaves the stadium after 8:15 PM - they are out for the rest of the night. Students in 5th grade and younger need to have a parent/guardian accompany them to all home activities (not just football games) and should be seated with them during the game. There is a designated section in the bleachers for students 6th grade and up.
For those that can't make it Friday night, the Varsity game will be streamed live on the Iowa
