KMS Announcements  Wednesday, April 30, 2025 Day 2

  • KMS will have their last Fun Night on Friday, May 2.  There are no admission fees and there will be pizza and pop on sale for $1 each.  The times are as follows:  6th Grade - 3:30-5:00 and the 7th and 8th Grade - 5:30-7:00.

  • Elementary PTO has shared their school supply order information available for next year.  If you  are interested the flyer can be picked up at the Communication center.

  • Congratulations to this week's Orange Frog winners: 7th grader Bea Burkhart and Special Education Associate, Ms. Sarah Van Hulzen! They bring happiness to KMS every day!!

  • Summer Driver Education registration with Triple R Driving School.  They are offering 2 sessions.  June and August.  Pickup a form at the Communication Center across from the office for all the registration details.  There is also information for the Training Wheels driver education program to pick up if interested.

  • Students: We have a program here called SKIP THE TRIP. When you turn 14 you may take the DOT Permit test through Mrs. Stevenson in the Media Center then, when you pass you get a receipt to take to the court house. See Mrs. Stevenson to schedule a time for you to take the permit test.

Athletics -

  • Indianola is looking for athletes from Knoxville to be a part of their 2025 fall girls swim season. If you are looking for a unique and new challenge, this will be a great opportunity. Swimming not only enhances your strength and endurance, but also teamwork and discipline. Head coach Aaron Bandy will be coming during lunch on Wednesday April 30th during lunch to meet and answer questions that any students might have. Here is some info about the season:  Season dates are August 11th - Nov 15th.; Practices are Monday-Friday. 4:15 - 6:15 at the Indianola Wellness Campus; Meets happen on either Tuesday, Thursday or Saturday.; Next year’s 8th graders can practice with the team. But they can not compete.  If any middle school girls want to talk with Coach they should just come down to the HS commons during their lunch time on April 30 - check out at the KMS office first.

  • High School Dance Team Tryouts are coming up! Any student CURRENTLY in 7th or 8th grade is invited to try out for the 2025-2026 team. 7th graders may only sign up for JV teams. Please fill out this form if you are interested. This does not mean you must try out, it just gives Coach Devin an idea for planning.

Lunch – Oven Fried Chicken, seasoned waffle fries, rice Krispie bar or dill flavored chicken nuggets.
