KMS Announcements  Monday, March 10, 2025 Day 1

  • Mark your calendars for these upcoming events –

    • Tuesday, March 11 will be a no school day due to the Boy’s State Tournament Game.  The All School band concert will be held in the evening.

    • Wednesday, March 12 and Thursday, March 13 – Parent conferences.  2 hour early dismissal both days.  Parent conferences will run from 2:00 - 7:00 PM both days.  Parents were sent an email with further information.

    • Friday, March 14 – No school and the beginning of Spring Break.  No school for Spring break March 14 - 21.  Classes resume on Monday, March 24

Band Students don't forget you have an extra rehearsal today with the high school band students. You need to report to the band room at 1:30 pm. If you have any questions, please contact Mr. McBride. 

  • Check out the lost and found table by the Communication center – unclaimed items will be donated after Friday of this week.

Athletics -

  • There will be a meeting on Wednesday, March 12th for seventh & eighth grade girls who would like to join the track team. We'll meet in the gym right after school. If you're unable to make the meeting, you can contact Coach Cunningham at jcunning73@gmail.com

  • There will be a meeting for any 8th grade boys interested in going out for  8th grade track at 12:00 (end of lunch) on Wednesday, March 12th in Hudson’s room.

District –

Due to the Knoxville boys basketball State Tournament game, there will be no school for KCSD on Tuesday, March 11.  

Knoxville will play Cedar Rapids Xavier at 10:30 AM at Wells Fargo Arena.  The 6-12 band concert scheduled for Tuesday night in the Knoxville High School gym will happen as scheduled; 6:30 PM start.  

For fans planning to attend Tuesday's State Basketball game, here are some details to know: 

* Knoxville spectators will sit on the side behind the teams. 

* Tickets can be purchased online or can be purchased at the arena.  There is a service fee for tickets purchased online. 

* Wells Fargo Arena has implemented a clear bag policy for all events. A maximum size of 12"x6"x12" is permitted. Exceptions will be made for medical, family, or child care bags or small clutches no larger than 4.5"x 6.5"

* All spectators from kindergarten on up must purchase a ticket.

* No banners, signs, hoops, balloons, or artificial noisemakers are allowed.  

* Spectators are able to enter through the north, south and skywalk entrances.  

* WFA staff has created plans for spectators leaving one game and spectators coming into the next game. You may leave the arena and re-enter on the same scanned online ticket.  Make sure fans communicate with the ticket takers to receive the proper instructions to re-enter without a second admission fee.
