KMS Announcements Thursday, December 12, 2024 Day 2
Student and Staff – Next week, the final week of school for 2024, there will be a fun activity during homeroom similar to the building wide rock/paper/scissors competition we used to do. It will just be grade-wide since our home rooms are at different times. Winner will receive a goody bag and booth ticket. More info will be coming soon.
You are also invited to participate in some “dress up” days to send us off to winter break.
Monday 12/16 – Winter Wonderland – Wear blue and white
Tuesday 12/17 – Holiday Movie Character Day – Wear your favorite character
Wednesday 12/18 – Holiday Headwear – santa hats, antlers, stocking caps, holiday headbands
Thursday 12/19 – Grinch or Rudolph – Wear the character or red or green
Friday 12/20 – Holiday Head to Toe – Holiday PJ’s, Sweaters, Socks, everything.
Friday, December 20 – the last day before break will be a 2 hour early dismissal and our PBIS celebration. Next Friday will be the PBIS Reward. Students will watch a movie in the gym. Students may sit on the bleachers or floor. They may bring a snack, but they can only bring a bottle of water or have water in their water bottle. They can bring a pillow or Squishmallow, but NO blankets. They may sit with their friends. There is a 1 warning system. If students are not following school expectations, they will be moved to an area by a teacher. If their behavior continues, they will be removed.
Attention band students: In preparation for your concert next week, Thursday will be a band day, not a choir day.
Congratulations to this week's Orang Frog winners, 6th grader, Tegan Lang and PE teacher, Mr. Gramlich! They have both been kind to others and make them feel welcomed at KMS!! Great job!
Parents and Students: Reminder about bringing water bottles to school. As of this time, we have two water filler stations on the first and second floor for water. Water bottles and filler stations are the primary source for drinking water throughout the day. We also have water in the office for those who forgot their water bottle for the day.
Athletics -
Good Luck to our KMS girls’ basketball team in the games against Chariton. Both teams will be traveling to Charition for their games and will need to be dismissed at 2:45.
Lunch – Wild Mike’s cheese bites with marinara, mixed vegetables, chips, assorted cookies or teriyaki Chicken with brown rice.
