KMS Announcements     Friday, October  25, 2024 Day 1

  • Today is the end of the 1st quarter of the new year.  Most students will only have one class that will change next week – an explore class.  Please take time today to log into Infinite Campus to look at your schedule for the 2nd quarter.  Stop in the office if you have any questions about the class change.

  • Congratulations to this week's Orange Frog winners: 7th grader, Matthew Shetler and 6th grade science teacher, Mrs. Urbas. They both bring happiness and joy to KMS every day!

  • Do you like our country? Do you like to write? You have a chance to win $5,000 by entering this essay contest. Click the link to find out more information and requirements: Essay contest  Deadline is October 30.

  • Knoxville K-ACT will perform Fiddle on the Roof on November 1, 2 and 3 at KPAC. Tickets at $15.00 each and are available for purchase at KACT50138.seatyourself.biz.  KMS students and staff who will be on stage include – Kaylee Figland, Noa Bauer, Avery Dittmer, Mr. Calahan, Mrs. Bauer.  Lily Flowers is part of the stage crew – helping with set painting and sound.


Athletics -                                

  • 8th grade girls basketball will not have practice today or Friday due to the DC trip. Practice will resume next week on Monday after school.

  • Attention all 7th and 8th graders. It is not too late to sign up for wrestling. Practice starts Monday Oct 28. See Mr. Hudson if you're interested. 

  • There will be a basketball open gym for any boy in grades 6-8 on Sundays from 5: 30 to 7: 00 PM in the Middle School ++gym.  Students should enter/exit the facility using the District Office doors.  

  • The Rec Center swim team registration is open.  Information sheets are available at the KMS Communications center.  Registration deadline is October 28 at 4:00 PM.  Prerequisites:  must be 6 years old, take level 2 of KRC swim lessons or swim 25 yards supervised by an Aquatic supervisor.  Practices will be on Monday, Wednesday, and Fridays.
