KMS Announcements         Day 1

Friday, May 3, 2024 

  • Calendar reminder — all Monday’s scheduled for the remainder of the school year will be FULL DAYS.

     

    There are no more “late start Monday’s”.

     

    We will also have make up days on Wednesday, May 22 [full], Thursday, May 23 [full], and Friday, May 24 [2 hour early dismissal].

  • Students interested and eligible to take Driver Education — Summer driver education registration forms are available for pick up at the Communication Area by the KMS office.

  • Any student going on the DC trip next fall to please check your email for information about the Wreath Laying Essay.

     

    The essay will be due on May 13. 

  • The May PBIS reward will be held on May 22, 2024. Students will have the choice of going to outdoor activities or a movie or crafts indoors. Outdoor activities will include 9 square, spike ball, bags, a 3 on 3 basketball tournament outside KMS, or pickleball at the KHS courts. Students who choose to stay indoors may watch a movie or do crafts. More information will be coming soon.

  • SKIP THE TRIP — Remember — DOT permit testing can be done here at KMS through the Skip the Trip program.

     

    Make arrangements with Mrs. Stevenson in the media center if you are interested in taking your drivers permit test.

     

    You need to have a permit before you can take the driver ed class. 

  • The BEST way to buy school supplies for next year is with Knoxville Elementary PTO's partner, 1st Day School Supplies. Middle School students are eligible to participate.

     

    Pick up a flyer at the communication center to share with your parents.

Athletics —       

  • Good Luck to our KMS track teams as they compete today at the Conference Track Meet in Albia.

     

    Please dismiss all 7th and 8th grade boys and girls track teams at 2:05..

  • Any 8th grade girls that are wanting to play high school volleyball next year, please stop by and scan the code on Mrs. Willis's door by the end of the day Friday. If you have any questions, please contact Mrs. Willis.

  • Any student CURRENTLY in 7th-11th grade can tryout for the 24-25 Knoxville Dance Team. Interested dancers should fill out this form for Coach Devin by May 13th - https://forms.gle/YKEoCdgETKcfemxJ8 

               

    Tryouts will occur on May 20th & 22nd 3:30-5:00 with team announcements on May 24th
