KMS Announcements         Day 2

Thursday, April 18 , 2024 

  • KMS Student Senate will have at meeting tomorrow morning — Friday, April 19, 2024 at 7:45 AM

  • Students interested and eligible to take Driver Education — Summer driver education registration forms are available for pick up at the Communication Area by the KMS office.

  • Any student going on the DC trip next fall to please check your email for information about the Wreath Laying Essay.

     

    The essay will be due on May 13. 

  • The Knoxville Booster Club is bringing back their Jamboree Night for the home Varsity girls & boys soccer matches on Tuesday, April 30.  A ticket at the gate will only be $1 for students (that don't have an activity ticket already).  Soccer players and students with an activity ticket will be given a ticket to be eligible for raffle prizes.

  • The May PBIS reward will be held on May 22, 2024. Students will have the choice of going to the outdoor area at the Rec Center or staying at KMS for a movie or crafts. Outdoor activities will include 9 square, spike ball, bags, a 3 on 3 basketball tournament, or pickleball. Students who choose to stay indoors may watch a movie or do crafts. More information will be coming soon.

  • SKIP THE TRIP — Remember — DOT permit testing can be done here at KMS through the Skip the Trip program.

     

    Make arrangements with Mrs. Stevenson in the media center if you are interested in taking your drivers permit test.

     

    You need to have a permit before you can take the driver ed class.

  • The BEST way to buy school supplies for next year is with Knoxville Elementary PTO's partner, 1st Day School Supplies. Middle School students are eligible to participate.

     

    Pick up a flyer at the communication center to share with your parents..

Athletics —                                   

  • Good luck to our KMS track teams in their meets today.

     

    The girls will compete at Grinnell and should be dismissed at 2:05 PM.

     

    The boys will host the Panther Relays with the school competing — Charlton, Indianola, Oskaloosa, Pella, Newton and Grinnell

  • There will be a boys basketball meeting in KPAC for current 8th graders on Monday, April 22 at 9:00 AM. Enter the building via the KPAC entrance from the HS student parking lot.
