Good luck to some of out 6th grade choir members who will be traveling to Indianola to participate in honor choir.
Congratulations to this week's Orange Frog Winners: 7th grader, Cooper Blaine, who is a two-time winner and our Math Plus teacher, Mr. Vander Veer! They have both shown kindness and spread positivity at KMS!!
During the week of April 8, KCSD students will be taking the statewide assessment called the
Iowa Statewide Assessment of Student Progress (ISASP). These assessments are developed by Iowa Testing Programs at the University of Iowa for the State of Iowa. The assessments are aligned with the Iowa Core standards and provide a clear and accurate assessment of student learning outcomes. Student growth, proficiency and readiness indicators will be reported.
SKIP THE TRIP — Remember — DOT permit testing can be done here at KMS through the Skip the Trip program.
Make arrangements with Mrs. Stevenson in the media center if you are interested in taking your drivers permit test.
You need to have a permit before you can take the driver ed class.

Athletics —
Good Luck to our KMS boys track teams as they open their season with a meet at Norwalk.
Please dismiss 7th and 8th boys track athletes at 2:30 for meet in Norwalk
Girls interested in playing softball for KMS this summer can still sign up in the office.

Off-season strength & conditioning program has begun.
It takes place right after school. This is for any 7th & 8th student that will be not be participating in track. This program will run Monday-Wednesday-Friday on days we are in school (i.e. no workout on Friday, March 29 due to no school) - starting right after school - with the last date being Friday, May 17. There is no sign-up, interested students can simply show up.
