KMS Announcements Day 1

- Students and Staff — mark your calendars for this week’s Holiday Dress Up Days
Wednesday 12/20 Cozy Toes & PJs (Wear holiday socks and or pajamas)
- Coming in January — Winter Theatre Experience 2024 for KMS students — If you like to act, sing, dance, or make sets, we’ll be meeting after school on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays from 3:30 until 5:00 pm starting on January 9th. You will need your parent or guardian’s permission to participate. Pick up a packet with all the details at the Communications Board outside the office. There will be an information meeting for parents and students at the Middle School at 7 PM on Monday, January 8th. Please fill in the attached audition form and bring it to the parent. information meeting on Monday, January 8th at 7 pm. If you’re unable to attend the meeting, completed forms may be turned in to the Middle School Office by January 8th.
- KMS Lunch expectations reminders — When in the cafeteria for lunch line up in designated location and then when served, be seated at your table. When you are finished eating your lunch, raise your hand to get permission to dump your tray. Your area should be clean and you must be finished eating before asking permission to dump your tray. If you need more time to eat, you may stay at your table after dismissal. Once your tray is dumped, proceed to the gym/class. Enter the gym, go to the east doors. At lunch recess, you will have two activities to choose from. If you prefer not to participate in one of the offered activities, you may sit in the bleachers and visit with your peers.

- Congratulations to this week's Orange Frog winners: 8th grader Jayden Gist and our 7th grade language arts teacher, Mrs. Davis. They have shown kindness to others and have spread positivity and happiness throughout KMS.
Athletics —
- There will be a basketball meeting on TODAY, during lunch, in the Life Skills room for all interested 8th Grade Boys. Everyone interested in attending the meeting will get their lunch at the beginning of first lunch and take it directly to the Life Skills room.
- Attention 7th grade boys if you missed the sign-up meeting on Friday see Coach Gramlich for information. Practice starts on Thursday, January 4 at 6:00 am.
- Good Luck to our KMS girls basketball teams as they close their season at home against Charition.
- Any 8th graders who are interested in being a part of the Dance Team next year and want to participate in the senior/8th grade dance for showcase should e-mail Coach Devin at Devin.Dunkin@kcsd.k12.ia.us to get more information for practice times.
