KMS Announcements Day1

- Check out the Lost and Found items in the entry outside the office for any of your missing anything. Items not claimed will be donated after conferences last week.
- Our Panther Focus is on control this week - focus on controlling what you can control. Oftentimes, we get distracted or frustrated by things that others do that are outside our control, and we let that impact our mood, our attitude, and how we feel. Make an effort to take a step back, take a breath, and say to yourself - "Control what I can control this week".
- Remember we will have a PBIS raffle TODAY. You can put ONE ticket into your grade level raffle bucket for the week.
- Mark your calendars for Parent Conferences next week Wednesday and Thursday with 2 hour early dismissals both days and NO school on Friday, November 3.
- 8th grade students — If you are interested in enrolling in the Spanish trip to Panamá and Costa Rica, next year when you will be at the High School, the deadline to receive the $200 tour scholarship and qualify for the risk-free enrollment ends on Friday, October 27. Please email Amy Lee (amy.lee@kcsd.k12.ia.us) if you have any questions.
- Like to write? Like history? Here's your chance to win $5,000! The VFW's Patriot's Pen essay contest is for sixth, seventh and eighth graders. The essay encourages you to examine America's long history, along with your own experiences in modern American society by answering this question: How are you inspired by America? If you want to hear more information, please reach out to Mrs. Sass (corrie.sass@kcsd.k12.ia.us) or you can go to this website: https://www.vfw.org/community/...
