KMS Announcements         Day 2

  • span class="Apple-converted-space">  Band and Choir students today will be a band day.  Wednesday will be a choir day. 
  • Congratulations to our staff PBIS winners for the week. Parking — Mrs. Finnegan and Ms. Pleggenkuhle and Treat — Mrs. Swanson and Mr. Kuiper.
  • All 6th graders will be attending a field trip to Vermeer on Tuesday, October 17th.  They will be leaving during the 1st period and will return during the 4th period.  Students will rotate through a variety of sessions regarding careers in the manufacturing industry and have an opportunity to ask questions of those working in those areas.  
  • Like to write? Like history? Here's your chance to win $5,000! The VFW's Patriot's Pen essay contest is for sixth, seventh and eighth graders. The essay encourages you to examine America's long history, along with your own experiences in modern American society by answering this question: How are you inspired by America? Athletics —

  • There will be a meeting for any 7th and 8th student interested in going out for MS  wrestling Thursday, October 12 in Mr. Hudson's room after school. If you can't attend but want to go out see Mr. Hudson for information.
  • Any 7th grade girl interested in playing basketball see Mr. Gramlich for sign-up information. Practice begins after school on Wednesday, October 18.
  • Good luck to the cross country team at the conference meet at Honey Creek Resort. Please dismiss the team at 2:00.
  • Good Luck to our KMS football teams as they close their season with games against Oskaloosa.  The 7th grade will be playing at home with a 4:30 start.  The 8th grade will travel to Oskaloosa for their games and should be dismissed at 3:00.
  • Good Luck also to our KMS volleyball seasons as they compete against Oskaloosa today.  The 7th grade will play at home.  Please dismiss the 8th grade players and managers at 3:00 as they will travel to Oskaloosa for their matches.
  • KMS students interested in swimming are invited to join the Stingrays - Knoxville Swim Team.  Registration is OPEN from now, until Friday, November 10th for ages 6-18.  To get registered, stop into the Rec Center (800 South Park Lane) and fill out a registration form.  Program Cost: Rec Center member $94, non-member $150  [Swim cap, suit, goggles are added costs].  Practice starts on Monday, November 6.  More information is available in the office.
