  • Congratulations to this week's Orange Frog winners: Mrs. P, school counselor, and 7th grader, Quinn Schneider. They have demonstrated kindness, leadership, and positivity at KMS. 
  • Mark your calendar for a NO School day on Monday, October 9.  It is a professional development day for our teachers.
  • Like to write? Like history? Here's your chance to win $5,000! The VFW's Patriot's Pen essay contest is for sixth, seventh and eighth graders. The essay encourages you to examine America's long history, along with your own experiences in modern American society by answering this question: How are you inspired by America? Athletics —

  • Attention 7th grade girls interested in being on the basketball team this year.  We will have an informational meeting during your lunch recess time on TOMORROW.  Please meet in the learning space near the library during your recess time.
  • 8th grade girls interested in playing basketball will have a meeting TODAY during homeroom time in Mrs. Peden’s room [745] 
  • KMS students interested in swimming are invited to join the Singrays - Knoxville Swim Team.  Registration is OPEN from now, until Friday, November 10th for ages 6-18.  To get registered, stop into the Rec Center (800 South Park Lane) and fill out a registration form.  Program Cost: Rec Center member $94, non-member $15  [Swim cap, suit, goggles are added costs].  Practice starts on Monday, November 6.  More information is available in the office.
