KMS Announcements         Day 1

Tuesday, September 26, 2023

  • Our Panther Focus this week is on being the best version of yourself.  Take time to focus on controlling what you can control this week.  Control your words and actions.  When facing a difficult situation, take time to think before you react.  It may be best to seek the advice of a trusted friend or adult before deciding how to best proceed!
  • Don't forget to enter your PBIS ticket for our weekly Friday raffle.  As a reminder - students are allowed ONE ticket into the weekly raffle box each week.
  • Congratulations to this week's Orange Frog winners: 7th grader, Grayson Gilchrist, and Lu the Lunchman. They have demonstrated kindness to others and have brought positivity to KMS!
  • 6th grade will be having a field trip to the Knoxville Airport on Friday September 29.  They will tour the airport and see pilots practicing for the airshow on Saturday.
  • Like to write? Like history? Here's your chance to win $5,000! The VFW's Patriot's Pen essay contest is for sixth, seventh and eighth graders. The essay encourages you to examine America's long history, along with your own experiences in modern American society by answering this question: How are you inspired by America? If you want to hear more information, please reach out to Mrs. Sass (corrie.sass@kcsd.k12.ia.us) or you can go to this website: https://www.vfw.org/community/...
  • Mark your calendar that KMS & KHS picture day is Wednesday, October 4.  School picture order information will be passed out to students in their Home Room class today.
