PANTHER PRIDE FOCAL POINT
I read an interesting article on a science experiment the other day. It posed this question; “What happens if you take an already moldy piece of fruit and place it in a bowl with perfectly good fruit?” Here’s what they found, the mold from the rotten fruit actually spreads to the good fruit causing them to spoil much sooner than they naturally would. The mold literally jumped from the bad fruit to the good fruit! Which brings us to today’s Panther Pride Focus. If we surround ourselves with negative energy, whether it be people, ideas, and/or situations for a prolonged period of time, that negative can start to become you. A takeaway here is that when you find yourself surrounded by negative thoughts, ideas, or even people, Get yourself out of there and get into a more positive space! I mean why do you think funny cat videos are so popular? They help separate you from the mold. Just a little food for thought…. Have a positive week and LET’S GO PANTHERS!

DMACC ONLINE STUDENTS: All students taking DMACC Classes 2nd semester must check in for your classes in the media center for the first 2 weeks.
- KHS SPEECH: Congrats to Kyl Bauer, Bri Murphy, and Kaeding Phillips for qualifying for State Speech! These students will be traveling to Cedar Rapids on February 4th to perform their pieces!
- KHS GSA: The GSA will have a meeting this Wednesday after school in Mr. Jehn's room. Come join us! The GSA is open to everyone!
- Girls Track meeting for anyone interested in going out on Monday, January 23rd right after school in Mrs. Splavec's room (room 155)
- SPRING DRIVERS ED: Any student interested in taking Spring Driver's Ed please stop in the front office to pick up a driver's ed form. Classes start March 6th.
- Reminder: Locker room lockers are for PE/Pfit use and sports use only. Please do not use them for your academic locker. Please keep your school bag in your lockers in the hallways. Locker rooms will be locker during class times and will be opened during passing time only.

REMINDER THAT THE FOLLOWING PANTHER TIMES ARE REQUIRED FOR ALL STUDENTS. WE WILL HAVE 1 PANTHER TIME A MONTH THAT WE WILL USE FOR AN ADDED ADVISORY LESSON.
