December 20, 2022   A-DAY

PANTHER PRIDE FOCAL POINT

I don’t have to tell you the end of the year is quickly making its way here.  As 2022 comes to a close, you will hear many people talking about making “resolutions” or “Changes” for the new year.  Making a fresh start is a great idea and helps keep us motivated.  Before we get to setting up a NEW YEAR, NEW YOU in 2023, The Idea I want to focus on for this LAST PANTHER PRIDE Focus OF 2022 is Clearing the Deck.  What does that mean? Well, I’m glad you asked.  One step that people seem to forget when making New Year resolutions, is that they leave current tasks unfinished!  Clearing the Deck is meant to prevent that, It means to clear your path from the “cobweb to-do lists” that seems to constantly be cluttering your way. I’m sure you can think of many of them right now.  It could be a missing assignment or assessment from a class, or an unfinished college or job application, or even a disaster of a room that your parents keep telling you to clean. I hear you back there saying, “can’t I just make cleaning these cobwebs my new resolution?”  The answer to that is a big, ol’ “NO”. Resolutions should be future-focused and not the lingering tasks from the past year.  Let’s be honest, none of the things that you are avoiding right now, will have you jump for joy to complete in the New Year.  You have two weeks.  Two weeks to set up some mini-goals.  Two weeks to complete some tasks and clear the decks.  Good luck and Happy Holidays. AND Go Panthers!!
