   PANTHER PRIDE FOCAL POINT

Have you ever noticed how if you focus on something it tends to happen? Don’t believe me, try this the next time you are driving down the road.  Think only about a certain color of car and see what happens.  If you think; “There sure are a lot of red cars” your mind will begin to confirm that belief and see every red car on the road. This is actually a real thing known as the “Baader–Meinhof phenomenon”, otherwise known as a Frequency Bias/Illusion. This is a phenomenon where we have a tendency to notice something more often after it has been brought to your attention for the first time, in turn leading to the belief that it has an increased frequency of occurrence.

The great thing is, we can use this for our benefit! All we need to do is be on the lookout for positive things.  Once you start to see them, then *poof* you let the Baader-Meinhof phenomenon take over and watch the good times roll! You really do have some control in your everyday life, all you really have to do is stop searching for the negative and open your eyes and see all the positives.  Have a great and Positive week! GO PANTHERS!

Quote of the Week

"Once you replace negative thoughts with positive ones, you'll start having positive results."

– Willie Nelson
