Graphic shows a thank you from Atlantic School District to KCSD

We would like to express our appreciation to the Atlantic Community School District for their kind words about KCSD and our employees! We are proud to be a caring community! 💛

The following is from the Atlantic Community School District newsletter:

After a two-hour drive to Knoxville this past Friday night hauling our boys of fall, one of the Atlantic bus drivers got into a tight spot near Knoxville's Ken Locke Stadium and damaged the bus tire on a fire hydrant. Transportation Director Steve Andersen said they were not sure how they would get the issue resolved at such an untimely hour.

"Knoxville Transportation Director Brenda Dunkin interrupted her evening to come meet my driver, get the bus to her garage, change the damaged tire, and have us back on the road by the end of the 3rd quarter," said Andersen.

The local support and teamwork made a big issue seem like nothing at all.

"Brenda and her team were welcoming and helpful, and I'm so very appreciative of their kindness. Truly, they have the best for our student-athletes in mind, regardless of the team they play for," said Andersen.
