Knoxville Food Youth Initiative

The Knoxville Food Youth Initiative (KFYI) provides two main services for Knoxville youth.  

Summer Meal Program All meals are FREE for youth 18 and under. There are NO income requirements, NO sign up and NO questions asked. Parent/Adult can pick up meals. Children do not need to be present.

What?  We will be handing out grab and go meals (breakfast and lunch) 

When?  Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays June 1st through August 7th (excluding July 3rd) ~ 11:30 am to 12:30 pm

Where?  KHS student parking lot.

  • Children will get meals for 6 days a week (not Sundays). On Mondays kids will get Breakfast and lunch for Monday and also Breakfast and lunch for Tuesday. On Wednesday kids will get breakfast and lunch for Wednesday and also breakfast and lunch for Thursday. Then on Fridays they will get Breakfast and lunch for Friday and also Breakfast and lunch for Saturday.
  • These will be complete meals. Breakfast: cereal or muffin or breakfast bar, juice and milk. Lunch: Sandwich or wrap or an item to be heated, fresh fruits/vegetables/juice and milk. If an item has to be heated it will be simple to do and have heating instructions with it. We will try to change up our menu as much as possible but still keep it easy for you while providing as much variety as we can.

Knoxville CSD Food Pantry is staffed by the Knoxville Food Youth Initiative organization.  

The Panther Pantry at KHS is held on the 1st and 3rd Mondays each month from 3:30 pm to 5:00 pm. This will continue to be a drive through distribution until further notice. Come to the front of the Knoxville High School, give the volunteer your name and number of people in your household.
