It is our mission to provide safe, reliable, and courteous transportation for the students of Knoxville Community Schools. To do this, it takes cooperation between all of us, as students, bus drivers, teachers, administrators, and parents. Thanks in advance for your support!

Show your PANTHER PRIDE while riding the bus! Be Safe, Be Respectful, Be Responsible!

In trying to better serve the community several bus stops have been added throughout the town.  All buses will stop at every school to ensure students are dropped off and picked up safely.  The shuttle service that has been used in the past is being replaced by these new stops.

If you have any questions please contact the Transportation office.

bus safety update poster

Moving forward, all new school buses in Iowa will be required to have lap/shoulder seatbelts. At this time, KCSD has one bus with these belts, but we expect to have more in the future as we phase in new vehicles.

At its April 12 meeting, the Knoxville School Board approved a new policy stating that all students riding a bus with seatbelts must wear them at all times when the bus is in motion. The driver will announce this prior to moving the bus.

Anyone who takes off their seatbelt will be reported to the KCSD transportation director, who may then implement disciplinary action.

Having buses with seatbelts will provide a greater level of safety for our students and other passengers. Please be aware of this policy as we move forward. To review the policy click here
